How to reach Atma Kutir Ashram Jyotirlinga:

For the convenience of devotees coming from foreign Online form for foreigners has been prepared.

Part-I:

Following places will fall when you come to Ashram through Rishikesh City:-

Part-III GPS searching Garud Chatti Temple to Atma Kutir Ashram

Neelkanth This place is about 15 Km from Rishikesh (City in India about 300 Kms from New Delhi). The area has a limited access and vehicle cannot reach the mountain where the Ashram is located. The place where taxi will drop you is 1 km( hilly terrain) from Ashram.

One has to reach through this route- Rishikesh City- Garud Chatti-Phool Chatti-Gattu Ghat. The truth is that the road is in very bad shape. The area is full of wild animals. Coming in night time is not advisable.

Those devotees who are coming by International flight are advised to reach ashram as following:-

Option-I: Take a flight from DEL(Delhi) to DED( Dehradun). Name of Airport of Dehradoon is Jolly Grant Airport. Ashram is about 25 kms from this place. From Dehradoon one can hire a Taxi upto Ashram which will charge amount of Rs 1200-1500.

Option-II:After landing at Delhi Airport hire a direct taxi for the Ashram. Delhi- Rishikesh Taxi fare is 5500-6000 Rs.

Single female are advised not to travel at night.

For routine visit/ devotees coming without any luggage can reach upto Chndrabhaga Bridge. Shared taxi from Chandrabhara Bridge to Gattughat takes Rs. 40 per person and is available upto 3.30 PM( winter) and 5.30 PM( in summer)

भक्तों को इस रास्ते से आना है : गरुड चट्टी - - - फूल चट्टी -- गट्टू घाट - -- पैदल रास्ता । गट्टू घाट के बाद सड़क बहुत खराब और टूटी हुई है और यह सलाह दी जाती है की रात में न पहुंचे ।

There is no pick and drop facility available in the Ashram. Visitors are expected to reach the Ashram at about 8.00 AM by their own Taxi, keep it waiting, visit the Ashram and return to the Taxi,

Devotees who are coming for Darshan only are advised to carry a bag pack with 2-5 Kg weight only otherwise they may feel difficulty in climbing the hilly road.

Coolie / carrier/porter are not available. There are no shops, markets, Taxi stands available nearby the Ashram.

There is poor mobile network connectivity and there is no Telephone/STD/ISD or broadband facility inside the Ashram. Whatsapp /Facebook may not work here. Satellite phones are also not available. There is also danger of wild animals like tiger, snake in the area.

During summer season there is huge rush of tourists to Neelkanth and Rishikesh( hilly areas). During May- June there is school /college summer vacation and there is intense heat in Northern part of India. Due to large number of Indian and foreign tourist coming the buses and trains become overcrowded.

(iii) Volvo Uttaranchal Roadways Booking online

(iv) Janrath Seva UP Roadways Fare 300 Rs. Booking online

Note: Indian Railways is operating following special trains which will operate during summer season.

4. train 04735 will depart on every saturday at 3.25 AM( early morning) from Old Delhi Reialway Station and reach 10.25 AM to Haridwar,. In return journey the train 04736 will start on sunday at 07.50 PM from Haridwar and reach Delhi at 01.40 AM(midnight)
