The ATLAS Light Tower includes lighting devices connected via DMX512, a standard for digital communication networks that are commonly used to control lighting and effects. An Art-Net interface is connected to the campus network via Ethernet.
A Linux computer in the light tower runs lighting control software, include QLC+ and xLights. The audio output of the computer is connected to a Marrantz AV receiver. There are 2 waterproof speakers mounted outside the light tower, in the "notches" on the north and east sides of the tower, protected from rain and snow by aluminum flashing. A 3rd speaker inside the light tower is used for monitoring. There is a webcam inside the light tower to help with show development, debugging, and monitoring.

The (4) Color Kinetics ColorBlast RGB architectural light fixtures are not shown in this photo. They are mounted on the 4 walls of the light tower, at the boundary between the glass/mirror section and the rectangular window section. These were part of the original construction.

Two OSD Audio 6.5" Outdoor Patio Speakers 150W, IP54 Weather Resistant powered by Marantz AV 150 watt per channel Receiver.
The Marantz is controllable via a web browser interface to set volume, etc. The speakers are mounted outside the tower, under the openable door/windows on the east and north sides, and they are connected to the AV receiver's left and right outputs.
An additional speaker is inside the light tower for monitoring, connected to the AV receiver's center channel.
There is a Reolink camera mounted inside the light tower.
