Atlantic Community High School offers a range of DP courses based on student interests and passions. Below please find the subject for each offering.

Individuals and Societies

Economics SL /HL, Geography SL / HL, History of the Americas HL, Philosophy SL / HL, Psychology SL, and Social and Cultural Anthropology SL / HL

Group 4

Sciences

Biology SL / HL,
Chemistry SL / HL,
Marine Science SL, and Physics SL /HL

Group 5

Mathematics
Analysis and Approaches SL / HL and Applications and Interpretation SL / HL

Group 6

Arts

Film HL, Music HL, and Visual Arts HL

Requirements

Students must complete 1 course from each of the above groups. Students have the option of taking 3 courses at the standard level and 3 courses at the higher level. However, they must complete 3 and 3. In addition, students may opt out of taking an art and choose to do an additional Group 3, 4 or 5.

The DP Core

Students must also complete the following - 2 semesters of Theory of Knowledge (TOK) over their 11th and 12th grade years, an Extended Essay (EE), and 100 Creativity, Activity and Service Hours (CAS) to be completed over 18 months.
