The upper right comes from a series that Stanford University's Admission department did on the IB and it focuses on how the IB CP prepares students for College and beyond.
At Atlantic Community High School, our Career-Related Programme is unique. We offer students a tremendous amount of choice. We do not prescribe classes to career choices. We want students to follow their interests and passions. Therefore, students choose from the 9 careers offered and from a range of IB Diploma courses. All CP Students are required to meet the following:The requirements for CP students is quite rigorous and the standards are the same world-wide.
Each IB CP student must complete the IB CP Core which consists of the following:
90 hours of Personal and Professional Skills over two years
50 hours of Language Development
50 hours of Service Learning over 18 months
A passing score on their Reflective Project
In addition, students must also complete the following:
A passing score on 2 IB Diploma courses
Sit for their career-related students certification
