4 Year Appointment

A 4 year appointment is an offer of admission from a Service Academy. Cadets will be nominated first in order to be eligible to receive an appointment. You are required to receive a nomination from a nominating authority in order to attend Schools with 4 Year Appointment Opportunities. Candidates must complete and submit the results of several tests to remain competitive for an appointment. Students (Cadets) accepted into Appointment Academies are members of the U.S Army, and each Cadet receives an annual salary, room, board, medical and dental care.
