Mr. Cyrus Poncha, currently the Secretary General of Squash Rackets Federation of India, a national coach and Dronacharya Awardee. He was adjudged Asian Squash Federation Coach of the Year six times. He has coached some of India's greatest squash players.
We were very interested to hear about Mr. Poncha's journey, including the highs and lows of his career.
After viewing an interesting slide show, we learned about the importance of dedication, practice, hard work and resilience to bounce back after failure. We learned that squash players practice hard in the mornings and again the evenings with one day off a week.
We leaned that the responsibilities of a coach go beyond the work done on the squash court. A coach is also a friend, mentor, and advisor.
Many thanks to Mr. Poncha for giving us his precious time.
