in the morning, we hopped the ferry for our trip back to Athens. Once on shore, our new bus driver met us at the port, and we all loaded up to head to the historical museum. In the museum, we saw lots of artifacts from the Mycenae ruins that we had visited. It was really cool to see them in the context of that other tour.
That evening, we had our farewell dinner. We were once again served family style. We never knew how many more courses were coming! They never seemed to end! Pam and I both had the rooster for a main course. I teased Abby that the first one who got their rooster had to crow before eating it. We laughed at that, but she did it anyway . . . .even if a bit quietly. ;)
Then it was a 2 a.m. departure for our group as we got shuttled to the airport for our trip back home. Our bags were packed, and our hearts were full with great memories of a wonderful trip.
