Every Chromeskulls embodies something. Whether it be derived from their background, their occupation, or just what they think is badass or not. The style of a Chromeskull is what sets them apart.
What should my character look like?
You live in either The Square, Flatline or the Smokestacks. Each of these comes with its own unique environment and way of living, though they are all universally scrap-punk and disorderly.
What is 'scrap-punk'?
Scrap-punk, as its called, it a unique conjunction of scrap, and punk. Duh. But, what it is is a combination of extremely patchworked and scrappy looking apparel which has been retrofitted with what are traditionally considered 'punk' items: Red flannel, lots of leather, chokers, egregious amounts of accessories and jewelry, sewn-in armor and leather or cloth reinforcements, etcetra... What should I wear?
All information regarding customs can be found in the clothing category in the discord.
As aforementioned in the intro, what you wear differs between characters. One character may be a Amberly refugee, and would wear nothing but the clothes they had on their back during the fall. Another could be a USRF desertee, donning a frayed and destroyed RCU, RBU, etc... It all depends on the background.
Many Chromeskulls, though, opt to wear dirty and rag-tag street wear because A). It's extremely common. B). It is extremely on the down-low; handy for cybres.
The exception to this is boosters are able to wear limited surplus military gear from groups such as RELISTAR, HILLTOP and the USRF, etc... or just stuff they've found in surplus stores.
Though the Chromeskulls don't have a universal uniform like established nations, they do have several forms of identification. The main ones are either a graffiti tag of a skull or common phrase, or a black and red stripped armband.
A few premade uniforms will be found on the group store, though you are allowed to utilize what you can find on the catalog or from other groups.
And although the custom generator is entirely optional you are heavily advised to utilize it, as it offers a wide array of customization!
How should I design my prosthetics?
As far as developing your character's prosthetics go, it's very strict what we are going for.
The main style of Chromeskulls' prosthetics are extremely scrappy, thrown together tech from spare parts lying around.
The exception to this is that facial chrome, which is usually much cleaner and is heavily inspired from maelstrom from Cyberpunk 2077 by CDPR.
The higher the rank, the more pristine the prosthetics.
At low ranks (below MR), you should prioritize a skeletonized design, utilizing very little rig space and resources. Though, this is just suggested.
Should you not utilize a skeletal design, having a worn down and scrappy in appearance full prosthetic is totally acceptable, just don't make it completely pristine!
You are limited to how much neon/glowing stuff you have. Restrict what you do have to your facial prosthetics and/or spines.
You are also encouraged to design your prosthetics around the different Chromeskin cultures.
Western prosthetics can be anywhere from really clean, ornate prosthetics to very expensive and elaborate prosthetics. An example of this would be most Maelstrom prosthetics where they're sunken into the face. Eastern are just traditional-looking prosthetics, stuff that's cheaply made and easy to replace.
YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO UTILIZE TEXTURES AND CUSTOM CLOTHING. TRY AND KEEP RIG USE TO A MINIMUM, AND FOCUS MORE ON YOUR FACIAL PROSTHETICS!
Ask TheDimondDuck07, or any of the Chromeskulls rig creators if your character's prosthetics fit the bill!
Below I have included a vast archive of reference images which you can take and distort into your own liking to fit your ideas.
