The mission of the ASTRA Workshop is to create an accessible, interdisciplinary space where students, researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, and innovators can come together to explore the future of artificial intelligence, robotics, aerospace, and space sustainability. Through technical sessions, research presentations, collaborative discussions, and hands-on learning opportunities, the workshop aims to encourage innovation while bridging the gap between engineering, policy, business, and public engagement. ASTRA is designed to highlight emerging technologies, support the next generation of leaders, and reinforce the idea that the future of space and technology should be collaborative, sustainable, and open to everyone.
The aerospace sector is rapidly changing as new technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomy, digital twins, and advanced sensing become increasingly important. At the same time, growing concerns surrounding orbital debris, space traffic management, sustainability, and commercial space growth require stronger collaboration between engineers, policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders.
The ASTRA Space Workshop was created to help address these challenges by creating a space where people from different backgrounds can come together to share ideas, build partnerships, and discuss the future of intelligent and sustainable space operations.
The ASTRA Space Workshop will include keynote presentations, technical panels, sponsor engagement opportunities, networking sessions, recruiting activities, student presentations, poster sessions, and technical demonstrations.
Attendees can expect discussions on artificial intelligence, robotics, sustainability, space policy, space situational awareness, orbital debris mitigation, commercial space, national security, and future aerospace systems. The event will also include coffee and tea breaks, light breakfasts, lunch, and an evening networking reception to encourage collaboration and conversation throughout the two-day workshop.
