Brainstorming for the research project was done to understand how to achieve the ultimate goal outline in the home page - using BIM effectively as a digital tool for asset data collection.
The diagram provides a research design for current and future work to be undertaken. Feedback loops are necessary to further improvise the framework after subject matter expert consultations and use-case deployment.
The scope of this research project is within the boundaries of the pink square whereby the activities only involve Steps 1 to Step 3.

The online database SCOPUS was used to search for literature in the domains of asset data collection and BIM.

Keywords and phrases were used combinedly as above to narrow down the literature that yielded a total of 25 publication titles for qualitative analysis.
