9:30 - 10:15 Panel: The ASL and its contribution to the reduction of zoonotic diseases. Moderator: Adriana Moreira

Objective: Discuss the links between reduced deforestation, restoration and sustainable forest management that the ASL is promoting, and the prevention of the emergence of zoonotic diseases in the Amazon. The discussion shall bring ideas for ASL partners to integrate this thinking into their ongoing and future efforts to promote conservation and sustainable development.

13:30 – 14:30 Panel: Sustainable value chains for the recovery of the Amazon - Ideas for the ASL. Moderator: Laura Bermudez

Objective: Discuss innovative ideas, lessons learned and recommendations for the ASL contribution towards promoting sustainable value chains that recognize the need for job creation, food security and income generation while also recognizing the challenges brought by the pandemic.
