People of the Hearthfire, exiles from the Creek Nation, runaways from Spanish and English colonies, remnants of ancient tribes.

Gullahs

African war captives forcibly emigrated to the Georgia and Carolina colonies as slave labor. In the lowlands, with large plantations and a climate hostile to Europeans, they retained much of their ancient cultures.

Gullah Geechee

Gullahs who rebelled against their captivity, mounting resistance from the Seminole country. Named for the extinct Ogeechee tribe (Twyman, 1999).
