The Storytellers group, formerly known as the BABY (the Bay Area Bhutanese Youths) started back in 2015. The group has been guided by renowned artist, Dohee Lee. She is a multi-disciplinary artist from Jeju Island Korea, and her performances are deeply rooted in her homeland indigenous practice, mythical stories, drumming, and singing. The Storytellers has collaborated with one of Nepal's gems, Manose Singh, who is a Grammy-nominated Nepali Musician.

For the last 8+ years, the Storytellers have explored their community's history, ancestral land, identity, belonging, and home. They have performed their collective storytelling performances numerous times in the San Francisco Bay Area. The latest performance was in June 2023 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

ARU has opened the Harrisburg chapter of the Storytellers and we welcome you to join the group to explore your stories and artistry. Through the storytelling journey, the participants will have the opportunity to deepen their connection to themselves, their stories, and their community, and find healing in the process.
