Though many birthdays were celebrated over the summer within the Ashworth Family, two of them stood out a little more than the others! 

Cerin made it to his Sweet 16! The young heart throb may not be known well around the Wizarding community, but that doesn't mean this somewhat mysterious boy isn't making his mark somewhere in our world! Not only is he succeeding well in his own school, he also started an all-Squib band with some of his mates. 

Verity and Julian, the twins of their Generation, got to that number we all feared (where Verity was concerned). They turned 17, thus entering into the world of adulthood, but with graduation still to come, there's still a few barriers in their way before they, or she, can try to take over the Wizarding world.

The doors to the Shoeburyness (Magical Creature) Reserve open!

After two long years of making connections, waiting for many approvals, deciding on locations and waiting for permits to be granted, as well as seeking out the base collection for the Reserve, Tragen and Ignatious have finally opened the doors to welcome new employees and hopefully many more creatures that they can help. 

In the summer of 2027 the Godric's location was the site used for the well known Ashworth Gala, the turn out was as good as before, and the creatures on site were able to be part of something else that was special to the not-twins. 

They have also opened up to welcoming students in for the Summer Work Experience program that is put on at Hogwarts; 

Shoeburyness Reserve - Enthusiasm and a love for Magical Creatures is required in this position as the owners will be looking for a student who isn't afraid of getting their hands dirty and helping care for the magical creatures who reside here. Must not be afraid to interact with creatures.  

None of the kids knew about Jaron's open seat on the Wizengamot, but apparently there was one, one that Ignatious Leander now occupies. He describes it as a real honor, and a chance for him to make a difference in the Wizarding World.

After a year spent at St Mungos, Julian finally returns home, and after taking some time to gather himself and prepare, he returns to Hogwarts!

We don't know. They didn't tell us. We didn't ask.

The Summer of 2026 was highly eventful for the family. They lost family, but also gained some in the form of three new miracles. 

Following the funeral ceremony of Jaron on Sunday, July 28; Leander Jaron, named after Ignatious lll and Jaron, was born at 6:22 pm, and Christian Kore, named after godmother Persephone, was born at 6:46 pm. Keeley and Tragen were ecstatic to welcome their twins despite Christian's struggled with health.  

Eight days later on August 5th 2026, Aria Charlotte was born to Hale and Siobhan, it was a very difficult pregnancy for the mother, but the little girl came into the world perfectly healthy. 

These new additions now bring the number of generations within the family to twelve!

Following a devastating attack on their home and family, the Ashworths retreated to a safe house hidden within the forests that surround the small village of Dunsmuir, a magical village known for it's talented fishermen and it's mysterious cliffs, that never reached the same popularity as Hogsmeade or Godric's Hollow. To protect it's location and the family,  only a select few Ashworths have known about the secret of this ancient house that must now become a home.

Things were quiet for a long time with the family, with the kids growing, the usual Gala's being put on, life seemed like it was beginning to calm down for the large family. To this day no one knows how it happened, or why, but it is now believed that whoever cast a most deadly spell upon the Estate was actually someone trusted by the family. No one else could have entered through the barriers around the generations old Estate that stood, and housed many different Ashworths, throughout the years.

Hale Ashworth, the first of any of his siblings to graduate despite being the 3rd born. He graduated with N.E.W.Ts in Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, and Muggle Studies.

After graduation, he and Siobhan apparated right off of the Hogsmeade train station platform with only their bags and arrived in the Maldives (Meeru Island Resort area). 

Mary was not too happy about this, she was looking forward to greeting Hale after his last train ride, but she was still happy that at least one of her children had graduated so far.

Following a series of confusing but vicious attacks against family and friends, Julian was admitted to the Janus Thickey Ward at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. 

After years of training along side his father and grandfather, Tragen is offered leadership of the family and the family business, which apparently it comes with a shiny ceremonial knife. Now, he has to try to juggle that with all his prep work for the Reserve.

At one point Mary did not believe that there was anything better than a single child of hers becoming a perfect. She was beyond joyful when her twins were both given the honor of holding the position. She hoped that it would not only calm down Verity a bit, but also help Julian become more bold and step out from his sister's shadow.

It's one thing to meet your second or third cousins, but how about meeting your cousins that are almost too many generations away to count, and are known for hunting magical beasts? The only connection between the brunette and blond Ashworths is a pair of brothers that go all the back to Cyrus, the first ever patriarch of the family. 

Cyrus had only two sons, Leander and Harry. After many, many generations, Leander's side produced the Ashworths as you know them, but Harry's side produced the blond Ashworths that believe they have the right to the title of Heir as well, especially all these years later when anything is possible.

Despite going  against the wishes of their parents and a few good friends, Tragen and Ignatious left school before their 7th year to set out and travel the world, but not for pleasure. They were about to begin a two year journey to the opening of their very own Creature Reserve. The first step? Getting permission to begin!

You know you shouldn't be outside, but you go anyway...

After Aleksei attempting to sneak onto the Hogwarts Express countless times, all before he turned age eleven, and after many debates between Mary and Jaron on whether or not it would safer for the greater Wizarding World if Lex was homeschooled, the most troublesome Ashworth was finally allowed to go to school.

Given Mary's reputation for having a lot of children, many did not believe that Rein was an unexpected pregnancy, but he was! After dealing with the insanity that came to her while raising Lex, she had decided against having any more children following Drayan's birth, and focusing more on her marriage and business with Jaron. 

To the surprise of many, Rein Lurian Fahren Ashworth was born on November 4th, he was very sick and it was a miracle that he made it to his first birthday.

It was time for the Prefect badges to make their way to awaiting students. This year, it was Ignatious who ended up receiving the badge, to which his mother was thrilled, but many of his younger siblings insisted on giving him a hard time. What else are siblings for?

For the longest time, the Ashworth family lived normal, quiet lives. Or, as normal as possible with a small army of children and a family business to handle. Over the years the family grew in size and soon the kids were off to Hogwarts.
