For this assignment, I had to give a description of the skills I've obtained in this course

This CSIT 101 course has helped me improve the way I use software like Word, PowerPoint and Excel. I always liked to personalize my PowerPoint slides and word documents but I was able to learn more efficient ways of editing like updating my selections (headings, normal text, and etc.). I feel that many of us are actually self-taught when it comes to using these type of software, so there is not much experimentation going on. 

At work I only use Excel for the basic things like listing different amounts, getting sums for long lists, and to help pick out any incorrectly entered numbers. However, with this course, I was able to enter formulas of my own and create charts to display visual interpretations of my data. 

Another thing was that I learned to make small and simple animations (I will never do one again) through Brush ninja. Though the one I made was just a stick figure smiling, it took me a bit of effort. I imagine animators have software that lets them copy their frames but it really opened my eyes a bit more to appreciate animators for their work.
