The King's Daughters Medical System (KDMS) in Ashland, Kentucky, traces its origins back to the early 20th century, when a group of compassionate and dedicated women from the local chapter of the International Order of the King's Daughters and Sons decided to address the community's growing healthcare needs. They raised funds and established the King's Daughters Hospital in 1909, initially operating from a converted house.
