Specific ways that I can focus on spiritual self-care and wellness include:
Reading the Bible, participating in Bible studies, finding connection in Christian communities, and attending church.
Taking regular breaks and vacations.
Attending my own personal counseling sessions.
A challenge that I can imagine myself dealing with is wanting to help everybody with everything. Meyers (2015) emphasizes that counselors need to be able to recognize and accept their boundaries and limitations so they can focus on who they actually have the power to help. Seeking counsel and wisdom from other counselors might be a good way to gain insight to where personal boundaries and limitations are needing to be implemented.
