Ashir is a graduate from the University Of California, Davis. He earned a Bachelor Of Science in Materials Science & Engineering in June 2023. During his university experience, Ashir was involved with OneLoop Hyperloop as a member and lead for the brakes subteam. He was also the Mock-Gravity System lead for the Space & Satellite Systems Club NASA BIG Idea 2020 Proposal. He presented the latter work at the UC Davis 2020 Undergraduate Research Conference in a poster presentation titled "Development of a Novel Propulsive Lunar Mobility and Gravity Emulating Platform". During his second year, Ashir also served as the Shabbat & Holidays Intern for Hillel At Davis & Sacramento. Through his third and fourth years, Ashir served as President of the Materials Outreach Corporation (MOC), the Internal Vice President of the Materials Advantage Student Chapter At UC Davis (MASC), and worked for Student Housing & Dining Services as a Residence Hall Community Advisor.
