Ashir is a recent Material Science & Engineering graduate from the University Of California, Davis, earning a Bachelor Of Science in June 2023. During his university experience, Ashir was involved with OneLoop Hyperloop as a member and lead for the brakes subteam. He was also the Mock-Gravity System lead for the Space & Satellite Systems Club NASA BIG Idea 2020 Proposal. Additionally, he has presented this latter work at the UC Davis 2020 Undergraduate Research Conference in a poster presentation titled "Development of a Novel Propulsive Lunar Mobility and Gravity Emulating Platform". During his second year, he also served as the Shabbat & Holidays Intern for Hillel At Davis & Sacramento. During his third and fourth years, Ashir served as President of the Materials Outreach Corporation (MOC), the Internal Vice President of the Materials Advantage Student Chapter At UC Davis (MASC), and worked for Student Housing & Dining Services as a Residence Hall Community Advisor.
During summer 2022 and the 2022-2023 academic year, Ashir engaged in a Materials Engineering Internship with Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA. He has since transitioned full-time after graduating in June 2023 and is currently a Materials Engineer at Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA!
