Last night we had our second match of the 24/25 season First match on was John Armstrong v Russell Hunter these two have played each other on numerous occasions so we knew we were in for a thrilling game John set off to a great lead winning the first two games 11/4 11/8 mainly due to his famous Armstrong serve and drop John has played a lot lately and it finally took its toll with Russell taking the next three games 11/3 11/8 11/9 .
Next up was myself Rob Black v Ross Mezzucchi I started off well too taking the first game 11/7 unfortunately to many pies and no exercise took its toll on me too loosing next three games 11/7 11/8 11/5
Next up was Andrew Black v Andrew Walsh Black never Started off well loosing first two games 9/11 5/11 he stuck in and took the third 11/6 Walsh had a bit too much one the day and took the 4th game 9/11 . Walsh said he did not expect to win and his best win so far this year.
Chris Adamson was next up v Tom Allan The first two games were tight with Chris taking them both 11/9 their was a bit controversy in the 3rd game with Tom on game ball and Tom hit a high ball which I was sure was going out on the back wall Chris asked the marker if the ball was in which he said he did not see so should have been a let really but Tom said it was in and took the game 12/10 Chris saved some energy in the forth game loosing 11/6 . Chris used his superior athleticism and skill to eventually taking the fifth in a tight 13/11 claiming his first win of the season ( not bad for only his second hame in 6 months well done Chris )
Last but not least was our number 1 Simon Broach v Richard Bradley Simon has been working hard pre season training and is concentrating on his squash now which paid off in this match winning a convincing 11/6 11/8 11/9 With several long hard rally's which Simon came off best in most of them Just showing fitness and practice is the way forward Hope fully we can reverse this result next half at our home game
It was also great to have our supporters travel away with us We actually had more supporters than the home team which is fantastic .
Next match is a Home game on Tuesday 12th November against Northern 2nd team

Although Primrose were weakened with a missing number 2 they still had a strong team Our team was: 1 Simon Broach 2 Andrew Black 3 Rob Black 4 John Armstrong 5 Chris Adamson Our first three matches numbers 3 .4 and 5 were unlucky each loosing 3-1 It was then the turn of our number 2 Andrew Black who won 3-1 👍 Our number 1 Simon Broach had a great win against Steve Calvert 👌 Simons speed and fitness payed off with a great 3-0 Win. Thankyou to all players for a good nights Squash A special thanks to Chris Adamson for stepping in at the last minute to play 5 for us having not played since May taking the place of Marcus Campbell whom had a serious Knee operation earlier in the year and was hoping to be fit by now.
