A political pioneer, Mayor Lily Mei was sworn in December 2016 as Fremont’s first woman and minority mayor. Mayor Mei has a passion for making Fremont’s voice heard on both a national and regional level, serving on the Alameda County Transportation Commission, National League of Cities Transportation & Infrastructure Services Committee, and League of California Cities’ Housing, Community and Economic Development Policy Committee. She has also contributed to Fremont’s public education where she was elected twice as a School Board Trustee to FUSD. Fostering the diverse community and talent in Fremont, Mayor Mei is involved with groups like the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and South Bay Chinese Service Club. She received a B.S. in Business from Drexel University and has 20 years of experience in competitive analysis, product and channel management, and supply chain practices.
