Alpha Sigma Alpha fosters an empowered community of women. We aspire to elevate the influence of women as they continue to improve the world around them.
The Epsilon Phi (ΕΦ) chapter was instated at Indiana University in 1991, being the 5th Alpha Sigma Alpha chapter in the state of Indiana.
We hold 8 core values that are upheld by all of the members of Alpha Sigma Alpha.
Our Values
Established in 1901, Alpha Sigma Alpha was founded by four women in Farmville, Virgina at Longwood University, formerly known as State Normal School for Women. The women of Alpha Sigma Alpha set the foundations of the sorority "to be women of poise and purpose."
Our sorority focuses on emphasizing and creating balance among the four aims of development: intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual. These refer back to the Alpha Sigma Alpha creed of which members are to uphold as their own truth.
