Alpha Sigma Alpha offers a sisterhood for all of its members beyond undergraduate years. Our sisterhood maintains connections from all current and prospective members by establishing alumnae networks based on regional chapters. It is not a cliché that your sorority sisters will become your bridesmaids -- it's just a fact!
Members of Alpha Sigma Alpha at Indiana University are involved in a multitude of other campus and community organizations, including:
Indiana University Dance Marathon
Big Brothers, Big Sisters
Delight Ministries
IU Student Foundation
Little 500 Cycling Team
Retail Studies Organization
Girls on the Run
Special Olympics
My Sister's Closet
Monroe Community Kitchen
Equestrians at IU
Global Dental Brigades
Pi Delta Phi
First Nations Cultural Center
Alpha Kappa Psi
Monroe County Habitat for Humanity
Women's Club Volleyball
In all Panhellenic organizations, the chapter functions with the help of members who volunteer and take responsibility of roles within the Executive Board or within Director/Chair positions. Having members with the courage and bravery to step into leadership is essential for our chapter's growth and excellence. It is also an amazing way to learn more about the leaders within our chapter!
As you make yourself available to the sorority, your abilities and skills will grow so quickly! It takes a very strong leader to step up and give it their all. This is an amazing process that will not only help you know yourself much better, but will also help with becoming a stronger and more well-rounded woman beyond what these 4 years can measure. Do not forget to enjoy the moments along the ride, and don't be afraid to take risks.
