As part of a community art project in Sukagawa, Fukushima, students and local residents transformed the town’s main street with large-scale chalk paintings. The project emphasized collaboration, place-based art, and the joy of creating together in public space.
Working with Seeds of Peace, students engaged in collaborative painting as a way to explore dialogue and identity. Art became a shared space for listening, reflection, and connection across differences in Jerusalem.
Through community-based art workshop within the Jewish community, participants created artworks as a way to process grief, memory, and hope post October 7th, 2023. The space offered a gentle, creative space for connection and expression during a difficult time.
