History and lineage of circles

While the circle is of its own origin – folding the circle has a history and a lineage. Bradford Hansen-Smith, artist, sculptor, geometor, circle folder pioneer and founder of Wholemovement, began developing this unique process in the 1980's, sparked by his work with  Buckminster Fuller.   Fuller folded the circle with informational intent and discovered the "VE Sphere'' through his unique approach to geometry and architecture and is the inspiration for Hansen-Smith's “exploration into geometry that provided the seed for folding and joining circles."
