connective tissue techniques with a soft ball and a soft roller to reduce aches and pains and re-hydrate connective tissue the gentle way. The soft ball can be used on the hands, feet, chest, arms, face, neck, etc. The soft foam roller is a lovely, full-body experience.
Full body assisted stretching can be very beneficial for a tight, achy body. You can relax and allow passive stretching; resist and experience PNF stretching to help release tension and restriction; as well as dynamic stretches prior to playing a sport or rigorous activity. And myo-fascial stretching on bare skin. There are so many ways of stretching and being stretched - find the ones that work for you.
Full-body assisted stretching sessions are often done in half hour increments 2-3x a week. Or one hour appts 1-2x a week. Like all sessions, they are individually tailored.
recommendations: Always let Janey know if you have any current/past health issues, surgeries, if you are a diabetic, pregnant or have any kidney or heart problems (including high or low blood pressure.) Having clearance from your primary care physician is highly suggested in these circumstances.
This is a sixty-75 minute session of pampering and relaxation that can include: hot towels and essential oils on your neck and feet; myofascial stretching on areas of bare skin (arms and legs typically); Acupressure on your face and head; gentle movements and stretches for your arms, shoulders and legs; reflexology on your hands, feet and ears; and energy healing techniques to release mental and physical stress and pain.
There is a natural flow to this session. The work is done at a deep level without aggressive, deep tissue techniques. This is not traditional massage but there is a similar feel to it.
Prior to your first session on the table, Janey will take a few moments to discuss what you can expect and she will go over any questions you may have pertaining to the appt, as well as attaining a brief health history from you. This mini-consultation can be done over the phone prior to your appt if you'd prefer.
Most people fall asleep (or at the very least, become very relaxed.) Experience a blend of techniques, listen to relaxing music and enjoy ambient lighting while letting go of your concerns and worries. Other than sharing valuable feedback, excessive chit-chat is not recommended in this session. The intention is to allow Janey to focus on what she can do to help you relax and de-stress. Too much talking can be a distraction and also tenses up the body which defeats the purpose of the session.

However, acupressure points, Chapman's reflexes and lymphatic points are massaged, held or tapped but this is NOT deep tissue massage. Clients remain clothed and it's important to wear clothing that is easy to be stretched in.
**Always let Janey know if you have any health issues or physical challenges so that she can make your session as comfortable as possible. She can work on you while you are supine, prone and on your sides. If you are pregnant or have heart issues, reflexology should be avoided.
recommendations: For this session, you may want to wear a shirt with a low collar or bring a different shirt to wear home. Wear clothes that are comfortable and easy to be stretched in. Please remove bracelets, necklaces and watches prior to the session. Relax and enjoy.

This can be done as a stand alone appt. for 30-60 minutes. You do not have to do a decompression session if you'd prefer just to have your feet worked on. Reflexology is a very ancient and mysterious technique used to address your over-all health through the pressure points on your feet that correspond to your organs and systems.
