This fall, as Senator Love was knocking on doors, she met a family whose son is a wonderful artist. When his Mom told her about the challenges they had in finding places to display his art, an idea was born. Senator Love reached out to Delegate Michele Guyton, who works with the disabilities community, and together with her staff, Gretchen Zekiel and Samantha Garay, they launched "Art in Full Spectrum." Artists with a range of disabilities from around the state were invited to apply to have their artwork hung in the House of Delegates, and over 200 works were submitted for consideration. The physical exhibit features the varied artwork of 55 talented and diverse Marylanders with disabilities, and will be open to the public throughout the legislative session (January 14 - April 13th, 2026).
Unfortunately, due to space constraints in the House, we were unable to feature all of the wonderful pieces submitted. Therefore, the digital exhibit on this website features all of the works submitted for consideration.
All are invited to come visit the exhibit, which is open to the public during regular business hours and located on the 4th Floor, Lowe House Office Building. The sponsors will also hold a special artists' reception on March 30th, from 3 pm - 5 pm in the exhibit space.
