Captioning has constantly been evolving and improving. There are now more options available to patrons but it's important for them and for you to know what's out there so you can best fit their individual needs. As with all accommodations, there is no one solution that works for everyone. You will be learning about the different ways that captioning is generated, presented and viewed, both in person and in virtual spaces. The goal is to increase awareness, expand options and best fit the needs of your patrons.
As an audiologist, late-deafened adult and bilateral cochlear implant recipient, I have a passion for helping others understand how to maximize communication and accessibility.
