We were invited by the Informa group to present a paper and run a workshop at the inaugural Mobile learning Conference in Melbourne. AR Studio presented a paper on the history of August reality its current place and weightage mate I was well received with offers and invites from the vice-chancellor UNE and other places to present the work of AR Studio.
The presentation featured demos of AR apps that you will now find in our AR Studio Marker Pack (Download here: PDF). This once again showed that demonstrating and doing really creates a connection with an audience.
The Workshop provided opportunity for educators and technical staff to produce ideas around AR. One of the most interesting concepts was from the librarian’s team who saw a use for AR to scan books on a shelf in order to reveal what other books people had borrowed after that book.
A nice discovery in this workshop was the sharing of space amongst augmented games. By putting AR markers up on the projector participants could play the same game and be in the same space together.
