January - May 20, 2017

Through a grant from the Somerville Arts Council, Marji Gere made a performance tour of community sites and after school programs in and near East  Somerville. During this tour she shared music for violin by George Phillip Telemann, Mario Davidovsky, and Paul Hindemith; she paired with this music a rare art form known as the "cranky", and welcomed listeners to respond to the experience via visual art, creative writing and movement. See the adjacent videos to get a sense of this 2017 tour, which paved the way for our current performance and education programming.
