Return of the Cooking Club: A Taste of World Cultures
The Cooking Club is back!! We will continue to highlight different cultures with some new twists. Members can check out a cookbook from the library, try a recipe at home, and bring a dish to share at our community potluck. Together, we’ll learn about the food, culture, and stories that bring people together from our own residents of different cultural backgrounds.
Whether you bring your whole family or come on your own, this is about connection, discovery, and good food. Come to one gathering or join us all year—it’s up to you!
Let’s share a meal, make new friends, and celebrate the flavors of our world—right here in Harvard. Meets 6:30 to 8 pm.
Dates, Times and Topics through year end:
Tue., 9/22/26 6:30 pm - Local farms and produce.. Buy from a Harvard farm and make a potluck dish based on your culture or heritage
Mon., 10/19/26 6:30 pm - Local farms and beekeeping. Buy from a Harvard farm and make a potluck dish using honey based on your culture or heritage
Mon., 11/16/26 6:30 pm - Nutritionist will speak about healthy choices as we reflect on the food of different cultures

Native American Artifacts & Birds of Prey
Native American Artifacts & Birds of Prey
October 15, 4:00 - 5:00 in Volunteers Hall, Harvard Library
(Ages 8 and up)
Jim Parks and Julie Ann Collier of Wingmasters will present a fascinating program featuring live birds of prey and Native American artifacts.This program explores the connection between Native cultures and raptors through four live birds and authentic artifacts. This program is supported in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Celebrations Around the World
October - May
In partnership with the Children’s Room in the Harvard Public Library, we present the Celebrations Around the World exhibit. Every month from October through May, a holiday celebration from various parts of the world will be honored in the display case located between the holiday books in the Children’s Room.
Exhibits will include information and artifacts highlighting cultural decor, apparel, food, and other items significant to the celebration. Community members are encouraged to participate in the exhibit by loaning the library personal items to be used in the display and perusing the various books about the country on display.
