What are the steps for setting up and syncing my Arlo Pro or Pro 2 Wire-Free cameras?

Set up Arlo Pro 2 or Arlo Pro cameras with Arlo Pro 2 base stations, Arlo Pro base stations, or Arlo base stations using these instructions. You can still use the Arlo Pro 2 or Arlo Pro cameras' features, such as rechargeable batteries, 2-way audio, AC power utilisation, and sophisticated motion detection, if you sync them with an Arlo base station.

To set up and sync Arlo Pro 2 or Arlo Pro cameras:

  • Press the clasp and gradually pull back to open the battery compartment.

  • Insert the battery gently as shown on pic and close the battery door.

  • Close the distance between the camera and the base station to one to three feet (30 to 100 centimetres).

  • Sync the camera to the base station:

If you're using an Arlo base station, press and hold the Sync button on the side for around two seconds before releasing it.

Note: If you push the Arlo base station's Sync button for an extended period of time, the LED under the USB symbol blinks amber for 10 minutes. The sync process is blocked while the USB LED is flickering amber.

If you're using an Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 base station, press and hold the button on the top for roughly two seconds before releasing it.

  • Wait for the sync status LED to turn green before proceeding.

  • Press and hold the Sync button on the top of the camera for around two seconds before releasing it.

  • A blue LED on the camera blinks rapidly to confirm sync.

The sync is not successful if the camera's LED blinks amber. The sync procedure must be repeated.

  • On the base station, check the camera LED. The sync process is complete when the camera LED on the base station turns solid green.

  • Repeat these steps for each camera.
