Spring 2026 Math112 Student Evaluations
Constructive Criticism from students: "the teachers were good at showing me how to do the math, but the teachers were in a hurry and only helped the other students"
Spring 2025 Cornell University Math2940.
"Beaupre was very helpful in addressing my questions when I asked her during the discussion. She provided plenty of support through demonstrating example problems and providing opportunities to ask questions."
"You explained Lin Alg in an awesome sense with analogies, going behind the WHY and answering questions I had in my head like 'okay but why does this matter or why do we care??' and you also explained things so simply. I wish I went to more of your office hours! I didn't fill out the course eval form for you but if it was still open you'd have a glowing review LOL."
Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 Math1120: Calculus II.
"The lecturer was very passionate about the material which made class fun, and she created an environment that encouraged asking questions. She seemed to truly care about the success of her students and talked through each point raised by students."
"The instructor was extremely supportive and enthusiastic during the course. I liked the way the material was delivered, and the lectures were built in an engaging manner."
"She's really great at teaching and has a genuine interest and passion in teaching us the reasoning and deeper meaning behind many of the things that we learned. If I could take another class with her, I would."
"Aria was a great professor! She made her passion for math evident, and was always excited to teach. Friends I know in this course with other professors would talk about how Aria's office hours were the most useful, so I can attest to her ability to teach, and teach well."
"I really appreciated Aria, she was always so enthusiastic and so kind and caring. Her enthusiasm was infectious and always made 9:00 am Calc classes much more bearable. I always felt comfortable approaching her with questions, and she made me feel valued as a student even if I wasn't the smartest in the room at some points."
"She was great!! I am very grateful to Aria for teaching us. She always had a really good attitude, especially at 8am, which I really appreciated. She always did her best to make the content as clear as possible, and it seemed like she had our best intentions at heart. I largely owe my grade in this class to her, as she did a good job teaching the content. I also really liked how she would explain why and how the math behind formulas and such worked. "
Constructive Criticism from students:
"At times, could spend far too long on questions. The majority of the class (from my perspective) would understand a concept, but even a simple question about material could derail discussion for 10 minutes."
"At many times in this class I looked at homework problems and felt completely lost after supposedly learning the material in a class period, and it was only after self-teaching that I started to have any grasp at the concepts before me. I understand the outside work needed to fully do well in a class like this one, but it felt as if the lectures and discussions were not helpful at all to my success in the course."
"I felt as though the practice problems we did in class were nowhere near as difficult as the problems on tests and homeworks."
"The homework was absolutely useless. Way harder than the type of questions we'd be asked on an exam and therefore not a good way to learn the material and study for exams."
"This course NEEDS better organization and planning. It seems the extreme bare minimum effort was put into the choosing of problems. I wouldn't recommend this course because of the lack of good structure."
