SUPPORTING INFORMATION:
The Appomattox Regional Governor School Speech & Debate Team is three years old with about 15 active members. ARGS S&D students have qualified for State each of the past two years. There is a determined senior debater interested in taking on student leadership responsibilities.
The team is a member of the Richmond Forum Speech & Debate League, and regularly receives grants for the Richmond Forum Speech & Debate Initiative — so you will not need to fundraise. Participating as a coach in RFSDI includes coaching incentive stipends for completing training, student involvement, and regular tournament competition. The outgoing coaches are offering training and administrative support to ease the transition, including team by-laws, SOPs, rosters, website, Tabroom.com help, Judges Training, and supporting documentation.
