Arc is still a fairly new tool so the features that are available continues to grow.
This feature works similarly to other screen capture programs that you may already be using, such as screen-cast-o-matic.
With Arc you can choose to record a video that captures your screen or captures you through a webcam.
This feature allows you to use video files that you have already saved on your device to upload through Arc.
There is also an option to past a YouTube URL so that you can incorporate YouTube videos in your course.
As an instructor, you can access insights on the videos in your course.
Insights will show a graph of everyone who has view the media at least once. You can see the total number of viewers, the duration of the view, and how much time users spent watching the media.
You can also choose a specific user to see insights related to them only, including the amount of time they spent viewing the media.
Closed captions help describe audio elements in a video and play a role in the wider story, not only spoken words. Arc gives you the option to not only include a copy of a closed captions file that you may already have but also to request closed captions that can be added to your video. These captions will be provided to you with 85% accuracy, so they won't be perfect but you can always go into the file and makes edits and changes as needed.
The Arc Video Quizzing feature allows the video creator to include Multiple Choice, True/False, and Multiple Answer questions directly within a video. This simple feature is a great way to create impactful learning experiences through video by engaging students using a video with questions to evaluate their comprehension.
