Rowdy Crowd

The Rowdy Crowd was a small group created by faculty member Rob Taylor in 1991. They were the unofficial “pep squad” for the Clayton State College basketball team.  The group consisted of only about 20-24 people.

The Rowdy Crowd was present at every Laker Basketball game to both cheer on the Lakers and to harass the opposing teams. Their uniforms consisted of a “Rowdy Crowd” tee-shirt that was orange with green letters.

The Crowd would group themselves on the northwest corner of the bleachers and cheer.  The original gym only had bleachers on one side of the building.
