WELL, YES!
With a good instructor and a willingness to learn, archery is a sport the majority of people can easily pick up and excel in! A good amount of our students and regular customers alike have gone from little experience to a competitive level within a few months to a year. It all depends on how much time and effort you want to put into the sport.
If you decide to go with our academy route, you can go from your first Intro to Archery - Basics to completing our Archery Bootcamp - Advanced Course within the span of 8-10 weeks depending on current class scheduling! We provide all the equipment and resources you would need to be successful during your beginner and intermediate level class times so you don't even need to own a bow when you're just starting out. We do require students enrolling in advanced classes to have their own equipment.

NOPE!
For our beginner and intermediate level classes, all basic recurve equipment and resources to be successful are provided to you before or during your class times.
IF YOU DO PLAN ON BRINGING YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT, then feel free to do so!
All we ask is that if you're bringing your own bow, you come a couple minutes early to make sure you're gear is fully set up and ready to go by your class start time. If you need assistance with setting up your equipment, or want to talk with a bow technician about how to set up or adjust your equipment, please arrive at least 20 minutes early to ensure that you can be helped before your class time!

SHORT ANSWER:

LONG ANSWER:
If you decide to go through our whole archery academy experience $680.00 TOTAL, which includes attending Intro to Archery - Basics ($40), Sunday Deluxe Intro Class ($60), Archery 101 - Intermediate Course ($280), and Archery Bootcamp - Advanced Course ($300)!
That's $577.00 for a total of:
885 minutes (14 hours, 45 minutes) of class time!
14 instructional days led by a certified and experienced USA Archery Instructor(s)!
Equipment rental coverage for up to 8 of those instructional days during your intro and intermediate level classes!
Alternatively, our in-house instructors sometimes offer private lessons! Each instructor can have their own rates depending on your experience level, shooting discipline, and lesson time/length. Private archery lessons can start around $70-120 for an hour of lesson time, with most coaches requiring you have your own equipment and basic experience already.

IT DEPENDS... BUT FOR MOST PEOPLE, NOT TOO LONG!
Like any other sport, some people are just naturally good at archery, while others need to ensure they're taking their time to carefully learn the process and become comfortable with the equipment. However, archery is a very accessible and flexible sport to learn. With good equipment and dedication, you can advance fairly quickly into the sport!
Some archers take a single Intro to Archery class and go straight into buying their equipment and signing up for leagues and competitions! Some archers go through our entire academy experience, even taking the same class multiple times, before feeling confident enough to shoot competitively. Some archers never take a single class and are completely self-taught, and can still shoot at a competitive level. It's up to you to make your own journey based on how you learn the best, and our coaching team is always here to help with that, classes or not!
