*POSTED ARCHERY ONLY RANGE RULES*
Shooters stand at the RED Line, spectators must be behind shooters.
DO NOT touch equipment until everyone is safely behind the shooting line.
Wait until everyone is done shooting, anyone may call CLEAR.
Advance to retrieve your arrows as a group. NO RUNNING!
Keep all (loaded) arrows pointed down range at all times.
A max of 5 arrows are allowed to be shot at a time.
*COMMONLY USED SAFETY COMMANDS & CALL-OUTS*
"CLEAR (TO SHOOT)!"
= Called by range officer/instructor, or last archer to clear the range area, indicating it's safe to start shooting.
"CLEAR (TO PULL)!"
= Called by range officer/instructor, or last archer to finish shooting their arrows, indicating it's safe to enter the range.
"HOLD!"/"BOWS DOWN!"/"NOT CLEAR!"
= Called by ANY archer at the range, indicating all persons need to unload their bow and stop activity.
"LAST ARROW"
= Called by range officer/instructor ONLY, meaning archers on the line may only shoot one more arrow if it's already loaded before the "CLEAR (TO PULL)" command is issued.
KEEP IN MIND, OTHER RULES AND GUIDELINES MAY BE ADDED AT ANY TIME. STAFF MEMBERS HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ISSUE RANGE COMMANDS, SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS, AND ADDITIONAL RULES AT ANY TIME VERBALLY, WHICH MUST BE FOLLOWED BY ALL ARCHERS AT THE RANGE, EVEN IF NOT POSTED.
*ACADEMY TERMS & CONDITIONS*
(YOU = the "Archer"/"Archers"/"Customer"/"Customers"/"Participant"/"Participants")
DISRUPTIVE/UNSAFE BEHAVIOR & RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE:
While within the premises of Archery Only, especially while in the range area, all customers must adhere to all posted range rules and spoken instructions of the class instructor, present range safety officer(s), or other employee/representative of Archery Only. Customers must read, understand, and sign an Archery Only liability waiver before being allowed to participate in class activities. Customers who display unsafe behaviors and/or disobey safety-related instruction provided at the range will be asked to forfeit some or all of their shooting time for the duration of their registered class period, or may be asked to leave the range area altogether. The instructor and any other employee have authority to remove any customer who demonstrates inappropriate/unsafe behaviors. Refunds/reschedules into other classes will not be allowed for customers who are removed and customers may be banned from registering for future classes.
Archery Only staff will never discriminate against customers regardless of race, nationality, gender, religion, or political view. Class participants MUST understand at least a working proficiency of the English language or provide their own adequate translator. Instructors will do their best to accommodate any students with disabilities or limitations that may impact their ability to participate in classes, but archery does have certain physical requirements and the store may not have equipment available to accommodate certain disabilities or cases. Certain physical limitations may require the archer to provide their own equipment. Please contact the coaching team before your class if you have any limitations or concerns.
AGE RESTRICTIONS:
Due to insurance and quality purposes, we are unfortunately not allowed to have customers under the age of EIGHT (8) years old. Customers must have reached their eighth birthday by the start day of the lesson. Additionally, archers under the age of sixteen (16) years old must be accompanied and supervised by a legal guardian for the entirety of the lesson unless a special class waiver is signed and emergency contact information for the youth is provided to shop staff in writing. Certain classes may have higher age limits due to the nature of the class material, though individual customer may have these higher limits waived by the class instructor based on the experience, ability, and maturity of the customer.
CANCELLATIONS BY RANGE STAFF:
In extremely rare occasions, classes may be cancelled or postponed if no member of the coaching staff is available due to sickness, personal emergencies, or other unforeseen reasons. Archery Only will always try to find alternate or substitute instructors to fill in for any classes before resorting to this option.
Additionally, ARCH-INT/ARCH-ADV courses may be cancelled or postponed due to low enrollment. Management policy states these courses must at least reach 50% capacity to proceed. Courses will remain open for enrollment up until an hour before the start time of the course, but customers already enrolled in the course will receive notifications via email and/or text at least 2 days in advance if their course is at-risk of cancellation. Students who have their course cancelled will either receive a refund OR a transfer into a later-scheduled course of the same type.
In these cases, emails and/or text notifications will be sent out as soon as possible to all registered customers of the affected classes who provided such information. These notifications will contain information on how to be rescheduled or receive a full refund. Additional compensation will not be available.
CANCELLATIONS BY CUSTOMER:
Any class/course cancellations made by the customer with request of a refund must be made at least TWO (2) Archery Only operating days (our regular operating days are Tuesday-Saturday, excluding most major holidays) BEFORE your class start date. Partial refunds are not available for multi-day courses if the registered customer cannot make all of the sessions. Cancellation requests made within TWO (2) Archery Only operating days of the course start date will result in only a partial refund or no refund at all on a case-by-case basis, and depending on class demand/size/and whether archers on a waitlist are able to take your spot.
RESCHEDULE REQUESTS:
If customer would like to change their class time, this may be done at no additional change-fee depending on class availability and how much time is remaining until the class start time, and will be handed on a case-by-case basis. In some cases, we will not be able to offer an alternative change time, or we will require a change-fee. These cases may include, but are not limited to, if the change request is made within ONE (1) Archery Only operating day, for multi-session/multi-day courses, or for classes offered outside of regular operating days.
LATE ARRIVAL/TARDINESS:
Archers are expected to be present and ready to participate in class activities, briefings, and lectures at the class's start time. If half or more (50%+) of the registered parties or customers are present (whichever one comes first), the class will begin on-time or whenever that attendance baseline (50%+ parties/customers present) is reached. Customers coming less than FIVE (5) minutes late may be incorporated into the class whenever the instructor is able, but customers coming more than FIVE (5) minutes late may be turned away and asked to reschedule the class with a possible change-fee required. This will be based on class size and the instructor's discretion. No refunds for unexcused class absences or tardiness will be offered.
LANE SPLITTING:
In cases where classes reach more than half of their full capacity (50%), archers may be split into two shooting groups ("A-Line" and "B-Line") which will take turns shooting every other round, as only FIVE (5) lanes are guaranteed for academy purposes. For example, if an Intro to Archery (ARCH-ITA) class has 10 available slots and 8 of them are filled, the 8 archers may be split into 2 groups of 4. Each group will take a turn shooting and retrieving their arrows, before switching places with archers in the other group. Each group will be given the same amount of rounds to shoot for their classes. This will apply to all academy classes and courses and is in place to ensure the instructor can provide equal attention to all students and properly supervise and maintain safety on the range.
