Kythreen, a Lolth-sworn drow, brought together the unlikely band of adventurers who saved Baldur's Gate. When one of her companions was faced with an impossible choice, she ran headlong into Avernus to save her friend's life – and destroyed her own in the process.
Their triumphant return, what should have been a time of joy and celebration, lies in the shadow of what she lost when she plunged into the Hells. Now, even without the peril of a Netherbrain or the diabolical plots of the Dead Three's chosen, Baldur's Gate is the one place in all the planes she shouldn't linger. She might have left Faerûn for good reason, but the lover she was forced to leave behind will never see it that way.
