Employers

Work-Based Learning enables employers to play an active role in shaping the quality of their future workforce. Through Work-Based Learning, employers are able to increase the skill levels of potential workers, work with the WBL Coordinator to develop a curriculum based on industry standards, recruit and screen potential employers, reduce turnover of entry-level employees through the hiring of Work-Based Learning graduates and improve competitiveness in the international marketplace.

Arabia's WBL program is always in need of local businesses and organizations that would like to assist with job placements of  WBL students with internships or employment opportunities.

WBL Benefits for Employers

We would "love" to Partner with your Business & Industry!

Our WBL students have skills, aptitudes and interests in a variety of career fields. Some students are already industry certified or working towards certifications in ServeSafe or National Consortium for Health Care Science just to name a few.  Students receive school credit and a grade for their WBL placement.

The average student works between 15-20 hours per week with an average salary of $8.75/hour.  Most students leave school around 12:00 with a smaller number of students, who are Dual Enrolled, going to work in the morning.

Did you know that most WBL students have completed at least 2 of the 3 required courses in one of the below CTAE pathways and will earn that pathway’s approved Industry Credential?

   • Agriculture       • Computer Science               • Engineering

   • Audio/Video Broadcast • Culinary               • Healthcare

   • Business/Entrepreneurship         • Energy               • JROTC
