Pre-Production was a fairly simple period for our team. Overall, there were very few complications across the entire team, with the biggest being that we had to go back and recreate our paper prototype to better reflect what a paper prototype actually is. Additionally, our animatic took a little while to complete (and was only finished by the last week of pre-production).
Our industry feedback was fairly mild, our only issue is that we need to work on developing the lore and justification for the existence of the mirror dimension. Aside from that, nothing out of the ordinary happened, and pre-production went essentially exactly as planned.
I wasn't worried nor stressed for the duration of pre-production, as I didn't have as much to work on as with any other stage. Primarily, I felt confident in my abilites and the abilites of my fellow team members. While I was initially stressed about our industry meeting (before it had happened), this worry immediately dissipated upon finding out we had virtually no real issues with the gameplay or game theme itself.
I found working in a team to be a lot easier than I had initially assumed, as I had worried I would be paired with people who are too stubborn or don't help bounce off ideas and contribute as much as they could. Additonally, I found that I didn't need nearly as much time to complete my work thanks to not having too large a workload.
I plan to try and fit more work into the time I get during alpha, as I will have far more to work on now that we're actually working in engine. Additionally, I have taken on the part of the responsibility for QA, Sound, and developing the Mirror Dimension's lore.
