Hello! I'm a Philosophy PhD Candidate at Northwestern University and a Graduate Fellow in the Brady Scholars Program in Ethics and Civic Life.
My main research interests concern parenting & procreation ethics, especially as these issues intersect with migration. I'm also generally interested in social, moral, & political philosophy.
I'm a native Hongkonger. My partner and I volunteer at the Evanston Animal Shelter and share our lives with 3 cats—Irva, Sapphie, and Luna. "Pet" them below to read about my research & teaching, and to see my CV.
When I'm not reading or writing, you'll likely find me rewatching Kiki's Delivery Service, Parks & Rec, or Taskmaster.
You can reach me at aprilchan@u.northwestern.edu.
