Hi! I'm a third-year Philosophy PhD student at Northwestern University and a Graduate Fellow in the Brady Scholars Program in Ethics and Civic Life.
My main research interests concern parenting & procreation ethics, especially as these issues intersect with migration.
I'm a native Hongkonger. My partner and I volunteer at the Evanston Animal Shelter and share our lives with three cats—Irva, Sapphie, and Luna. Click on their pictures below to read about my research and teaching and to see my CV.
When I'm not reading or writing, you'll likely find me rewatching Kiki's Delivery Service, Parks & Rec, or Taskmaster.
You can reach me at aprilchan@u.northwestern.edu.
