Hi! I'm a third-year Philosophy PhD student at Northwestern University and a Graduate Fellow in the Brady Scholars Program in Ethics and Civic Life. My main research interests concern the ethics of parenthood & procreation, especially as these issues intersect with migration.
I'm a native Hongkonger. My first language is Cantonese and my Chinese name is 陳安珮。I am a first-generation college student, and I taught high school for three years before starting graduate school. I use she/her pronouns.
I have three cats—Irva, Sapphie, and Luna (see below). My partner and I adopted them in Hong Kong, Tucson, and Evanston respectively. We volunteer at the Evanston Animal Shelter and love all the kitties there, too.
Irva can take you to my research page, and Sapphie can take you to my teaching page. To view my CV, click on Luna.
When I'm not reading or writing, you'll likely find me rewatching Kiki's Delivery Service, Parks & Rec, or Taskmaster.
