As part of my intership, giving Sinclair’s Diversity Office more recognition was a project that was also considered part of my Service Learning. This project consisted of two items: a pocket folder and a retractable pop up banner.
The folder to the left is the final product of what was agreed upon by the client. The original idea was to match a retractable pop up banner that is in Sinclair’s Library. However, when considering our options, and the budget, it was determined that a two color folder would be the best option for this.
The additional images to the right depict two earlier versions that were well liked, but not within budget. The first iteration was the four color and black background, which is an exact thought of how the folder was going to look as it matched the banner in the library. The second version, the four color with the white background, was also liked, but over budget.
In association with the folder, this banner was created to promote Sinclair Community College’s Diversity Office. The goal for this banner was to showcase the Diversity Office to the community within the college, so that more people would have an idea of what the Diversity Office at Sinclair does.
This banner is currently set up in Building 11, right across from the Work Based Learning Office on the third floor.
This poster was created to showcase how diversity looks within society. It shows the layers that diversity has, which is something the Diversity Office is trying to teach the community within Sinclair. While there are two layers, or spheres in this case, of diversity, there is only one of an individual, and their spheres have different information within.
In December, a holiday party was thrown for the faculty at Sinclair. The invitation was sent via email, whereas there were physical ierations of cards that were atop candy boxes and physical gift tags.
During my internship, I created advertisements for a variety of subjects, all of which followed a trend that was popular within the college this year. Each ad was accompanied by thin white circles around the images with a gradient to blend the image into the paper.
