These billboards were created in association with the previous project, to promote the fictitious Antoni Gaudi exhibition at the Dayton Art Institute. These billboards mostly display the mosaics in Park Guell as the colors for the park are phenomenally vibrant. However, there is one for La Sagrada Familia, a church in Barcelona that is still under consistent construction until at least 2026, having been under construction for 144 years.Â
These two spots are huge tourist attractions in Barcelona, which is why I had chosen them as driving points for this project. When considering color choices, I pulled the most dominant color from the pieces by Gaudi himself and used that to create the background and the fade out toward the text.
