Week 1

During this week we formed our team, and put a lot of effort into getting the Robot Arm moving at all.

The final result was the arm moving as seen above! It took a lot of time interfacing with the arm and figuring out how "just right" all the safeties had to be configured to get the arm to work properly. It turned out all of the batteries were dead in the arm, so we ordered replacements for those.

Currently the arm is powered using a 240V outlet from the wall, as we wanted to ensure that the arm worked before we tried our more custom solution. Once we have it fully calibrated, we're going to move it to our final workspace, and test it using our 2 phase 110V / 240V setup to make sure that works.
