Student Technology Goals:

• All students will learn and practice technical skills and ethical use of technologies that will prepare them for today's culture.

• All students will use technology as a data-gathering and analysis tool to improve learning.

• All students will use technology to enhance skills for working both independently and in collaborative groups.

• All students will use technology to think critically and solve complex problems.

• All students will know how to access electronic resources for research and learning activities.

Technology Objectives and Implementation:

• All students will be able to search age-appropriate information on the Internet to support research and learning activities

  • Use district databases including PebbleGo, NoveList K-8, BookFlix, and Brainpop Jr.

• All students will be able to search an online library database to find print resources within the school media center.

  • Students will complete lessons and activities using Destiny Discover to find materials available in the media center.

• All students will utilize a diverse array of developmentally appropriate instructional technologies to improve their reading, writing, and communication skills.

  • Students will learn how to use technology presentation and publishing skills through various resources.
