Appledore Community Hall has regular clubs (Art class, Kidz Club, Badminton, Short Matt Bowling, Bingo, Amateur dramatics) but is also available to hire.

Blue Lights Hall is a modern contemporary interior community space for hire; bequeathed to the village of Appledore in 1959. It was established as a charity in 1962.

Formerly the Village School and Headmaster's residence, St Mary's Church Hall comprises 3 rooms plus kitchen. Overlooking the river Torridge, the main hall has a stage; the middle hall has access to the former playground, and the lounge is by the kitchen.

Regular events include Food & Craft Markets, Happy Cafe lunches, live music and film nights.
