Our teams work closely together to assist anyone in distress along the coastal and estuary regions around Bideford in North Devon. We are highly trained in water, rope and mud rescue, searching for missing persons and first aid.  They assist with Cliff Rescue, Mud Rescue, Water Rescue, Search & Rescue and First Aid.

Appledore Lifeboat Station is home to two lifeboats - an Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat (ILB) and the very latest Tamar class all-weather lifeboat (ALB). We also have a third boat - a "boarding boat" - to access the moored Tamar. She too has been involved in her fair share of rescues.  For more information about RNLI Appledore CLICK HERE
