The primary mission of the Apostolate of the Suffering is to assure every suffering person of the value their suffering holds in the eyes of God. When one freely chooses to offer his or her cross for the salvation of souls and for their own eternal good, every form of suffering becomes consecrated—transformed into a powerful and fruitful force on the spiritual level.

The Apostolate of the Suffering affirms the dignity and equality of every person. Those who suffer are not to be seen merely as objects of pity or compassion, but as active and responsible participants in the work of evangelization and the salvation of souls who may be in danger of being lost. By carrying their cross in union with Jesus and His Blessed Mother Mary, they share meaningfully in this sacred mission.

Through the offering of their prayers and sacrifices, those who suffer give meaning and purpose to their lives, knowing that their sacrifices can obtain eternal blessings for others.

Members are encouraged to be active within the Church and society.
