Dr. Mellott gave us an educational and fun look into what teaching was like hundreds of years ago, and what Shippensburg University looked like as a State Normal School, and as one of the first teaching colleges in PA. We had this PD in Ship's one room little red schoolhouse, brought in and restored from Newburg, PA. It comes complete with a coal stove, organ, chalkboards, feathers to write, antique books, teaching guides, and more.
